The digital comic experience on dReader is designed to simulate the experience of reading physical comics. Once a reader reads a digital comic, the comic gets "worn out" and changes state from mint condition to a used comic. This feature aims to replicate the feeling of unboxing a physical comic, where the comic is no longer in its original condition.

To incentivise "unboxing" of digital comics we will explore the route of "using" Comic issue NFTs. For example, digital comics could be unboxed once in a lifetime to consume a specific benefit like a 1 on 1 call with the creator.
